Exhibition of works by Joanna Sarapata

Joanna Sarapata is a graduate of the L'ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts based in Paris. 11 of her works have been included in the school archives. The artist has worked in various techniques and fields: painting, graphics, poster art and scenography. She has had her pieces exhibited since 1987 not only in France, where she had lived and worked for nearly 20 years. From 1998 her works could be viewed in Poland as well. Apart from painting she also deals in scenography and posters. In 1996 she won the first prize of the competition for a poster organized by the Paris Opera. The main theme of her paintings are female nudes. Since May 2015, the artist’s painting have only been presented at the Quadrilion Gallery in Warsaw. Joanna Sarapata cooperates with Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, who will place her pieces in a gallery of female nudes.

Among the enthusiasts of her works, many famous people can be found i.a.: Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, Elton John, Patricia Picasso, John Rajd, Scott Bromley (Studio 54 architect), Rami Grumach, Rosemarie di Sapio (The Times Magazine), Rossy de Palma, Małgorzata Bela, Gene Gutowski and Jolanta Kwaśniewska.

The exhibition will be enriched by Joanna Sarapata’s works from the private collection of doctor Andrzej Dymytrzak.

The exhibition will be available in the Level 4 Gallery on Wednesdays from 13:00 – 18:00 as well as on Sundays from 12:00 – 16:00 until 4th June. Tickets cost 3 PLN.
