A pianist and cellist joined forces to create an amazing program and to enchant the listeners. Hania Rani and Dobrawa Czocher will present to us a fresh view on Grzegorz Ciechowski's work on Sunday, April 12th at 19:00. We invite you to our channels on Facebook and YouTube.
The pianist, harpsichordist and arranger Hania Rani (AKA Hanna Raniszewska) and cellist Dobrawa Czocher are a duo of young, classically educated artists who successfully combine two musical worlds of classical and entertainment music. They met in Gdansk, where they began their adventure with music. Then they studied at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
Dobrawa first heard the works of Grzegorz Ciechowski when she was a child – the music of the leader of Rebublika occupied an important place in her family home. She got a proposal to present Ciechowski's music in a completely different setting from the organizer of the Grzegorz Ciechowski in Memoriam Festival. She invited Hania to cooperate, and in 2015 they released their debut album White Flag.
What does Ciechowski's work sound like in arrangements for two beautiful instruments – the piano and cello? We will be able to find out about it on Sunday, April 12th during an intimate online concert. The two young artists will present the best in Ciechowski's music, using their virtuosity and workshop.
We invite you to our channels on Facebook and YouTube on Sunday 12th April at 19:00 for the White Flag concert.
