Aga Zaryan is a world-renowned jazz singer who brings the best from the history of jazz to contemporary audiences, continuing the tradition of artists like Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae and Joni Mitchell. She combines ambitious artistic goals with the ability to reach a wider audience. She is distinguished by a unique style, taste and approach to singing with the characteristic lightness of vocal phrasing and a warm and opaque voice. She has recorded five albums in Poland (including a gold, a platinum and a multi-platinum albums). The concert is based primarily on the works of the first Polish-language album in the Aga Zaryan discography. "Umiera piękno" ["Beauty dying"] includes nine pieces of wartime poets, telling about life in Warsaw during the Uprising in 1944. Painful memories, the image of the destroyed capital city, but also the amorous raptures are embedded in the poetics of jazz.
