‘Vivaldi – sound speaker’ – it is a multimedia concert showing works of the "red priest", as posterity called Antonio Vivaldi. He is a giant instrumentalist of the Baroque period, composer of about 600 concerts for various instruments, and also a composer of increasingly popular operas nowadays. What can combine these two areas of musical creativity, i.e. opera and instrumental music?
The second part of the title refers to this issue, namely the "sound speaker". It turns out that opera and instrumental music were closely related in the Baroque. The ensemble's musicians discover the secrets of the Baroque musical rhetoric and by doing so they will answer the question of what the music of Master Vivaldi is all about. And they will do it through vision, music and word.
The Arte dei Suonatori Orchestra is a Polish Baroque orchestra recognized all over the world. It has a huge repertoire, which now consists of about 600 compositions from the moment of the formation of baroque music to the beginning of Romanticism, as well as songs dedicated to the ensemble. Arte dei Suonatori has recorded and published 17 albums, and recognized by international music critics, including the 2003 Gramophone Award for Best Baroque Record and Violin Concertos “La Stravaganza” and Diapason d’Or, Choc du Monde de la Musique (many a time) and many more.
