Gregor Kotow - Managing Director, LIU KOTOW (Hannover)
Artist Manager, founder of Liu Kotow International Management & Promotion after 20 years of concert career as a violinist. In addition to working with world-class artists, he is passionate about building careers of young talents, such as recently the Korean violinist Bomsori Kim.
Prior to establishing his management company, as a founding member of the Szymanowski Quartet, he regularly performed in prestigious concert halls of the world – New York's Carnegie Hall, London's Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Musikverein in Vienna, Philharmonie de Paris and regularly appeared at international festivals, such as BBC Proms, Rheingau, Schleswig-Holstein, Schwetzingen, Schubertiade, Lockenhaus. He has won top prizes at many music competitions, including Melbourne, Osaka, Florence, Munich and Weimar. He has recorded for Decca, Hyperion, Haenssler, SWR Classics, and Avie.
He was Artistic Director and Advisor of music festivals and concert series in Europe and President of the Hannover Society for Contemporary Music; he was Artistic Advisor to the Taiwan Strings Chamber Orchestra, and currently is the Programme Advisor of the Montafoner Resonanzen Festival in Austria. He was regularly invited as a guest lecturer to the Hochschule fuer Musik, Medien und Theater Hannover. He sits on the jury of international music competitions. In 2006, he was awarded the Badge of Merit for Polish Culture.
