Prof. Joanna Napieralska - Sound Designer, Director - Sound Domain (Warsaw)
Graduate of the Faculty of Sound Design at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music, now Professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. Co-creator and manager of the interdepartmental Multimedia Specialisation project implemented in 2010-2013 at the FCUM and the Arts Academy in Warsaw.
Author of sound layers for many cinema and television films, winner of numerous sound awards. A scholarship holder of BBC TV Center (1989) and the Nipkow Program in Berlin (2002/2003). Collaborator of Melchior Wańkowicz University of Journalism in Warsaw and Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. Member of the Polish Film Academy (PAF), European Film Academy (EFA) and Motion Pictures Sound Editors (MPSE).
Author of two books: "Weiser" dramaturgical role of sound, AMFC 2006; SOUND DESIGN the way of emancipation of film sounds, UMFC 2012.
Academic editor of the two-volume textbooks Sound Aesthetics and Multimedia.
