Lilianna Krych - Conductor (Warsaw)
Born in 1986, Warsaw, conductor, mainly working for opera, on contemporary and baroque music.
She graduated in 2013 from symphony-operatic conducting faculty on Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw under supervision of prof. Marek Pijarowski. She advanced her conducting skills at master classes with maestro Colin Metters, Jonatthan Brett and Jerzy Salwarowski. She had her debut at Warsaw Autumn Festival 2016 conducting Salvatore Sciarrino opera “Luci mie traditrici”. Since then she is specializing in Sciarrino’s music, conducting his pieces in Ostrava (2018,2019), and in Warsaw (Aspern Suite, 2020). From 2017 she is a conductor in Contemporary Music Ensemble “Hashtag Ensemble” and from 2018 she holds a position of chorus master and conductor in Polish Royal Opera.
Since 2013 she has worked as an assistant conductor in Polish National Opera in Warsaw with maestro Gabriel Chmura, Stefan Soltesz, Judith Yan, Carlo Montanaro, Łukasz Borowicz, Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski (in such pieces as “Tristan und Isolde” by R. Wagner, “Moby Dick” by E. Knapik, “Orfeo ed Euridice” by Ch. W. Gluck, “The Haunted Manor” by S. Moniuszko, “Romeo e Giulietta” – balett by S. Prokofiew, “Midsummer Night Dream” ballet with music by Mendelssohn and Ligeti, “The Nutcracker” by P. Tchaikovsky).
Lilianna Krych was a co-creator and music director of an acclaimed independent Warsaw staging of “The Rape of Lucretia” by B. Britten (2013) and “Orlando Palladino” by J. Haydn (2015). She conducted “Don Giovanni” by W. A. Mozart for Warsaw Chamber Opera Youth Stage (2014), “Il barbiere di Siviglia” by G. Rossini in Polish Royal Opera, among others.
She works for dramatic theatres as a music director and supervisor. Recently she collaborated with Song of Goat Theatre conducting „Return to the Voice“ and „Hamlet“ dir. by Grzegorz Bral, “The runners” by Kamila Michalak (music by Nikolet Burzynska, Capitol Theatre Wroclaw 2014) and “The Troyans” (dir. Kamila Michalak, music by Marta Sniady, Polski Theatre Poznan 2016).
She is an artistic director of Warsaw Stage Society. She runs national and international workshops, concerts and recordings. Formerly she cooperated with Kielce, Jelenia Góra Philharmonic Orchestras and Polish Radio Orchestra. Moreover Lilianna is a music educator for all levels of advance.
